Marcus has over 20 years experience as an executive producer, lead producer and digital screen content expert.
He has extensive experience in senior management roles leading teams on projects for small to medium companies. He has a proven track record across story producing, creative producing, writing, combined with lead physical and creative producing experience putting Marcus in a unique position to understand the demands of domestic and international content delivery. As an EP, he has financing, rights negotiation, distribution and sales experience.
Marcus has worked with small, medium and large content and media companies including ABC TV, Deluxe, Essential Media (Kew) and Freehand TV.
He has delivered prime time television to all the major networks including ABC, SBS, Nine Network, Discovery Channel and National Geographic and has written, directed, produced and executive produced more than 80 hours of film and television that has screened around the world.
In 2013 he won the AACTA Award (Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts), Best Feature Documentary for "Storm Surfers 3D" and in 2009 the International Digital Emmy® Award for the drama "Scorched". In 2010 and 2012 he was honored by the Screen Producers Association of Australia for Best New Media and Interactive Producer of the Year and won an ADG award for Best Directing in a multi-platform project.
He is a specialist in digital and all-media production, marketing and distribution and has been invited to run all-media workshops for film schools and universities across Australia, including the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
Marcus is a successful author with his 2004 book "Hands On - A guide to production and technologies for film, TV and new media". In 2013 he published his second book "Hands On - Tips and Experiences in All Media Producing". A dissertation on his experiences producing multi-platform projects.
